What is CompTIA?

 

CompTIA or the “Computing Technology Industry Association” is an independent organization that builds community and fosters greatness in computer technologies. Initially formed in 1982, their mission is to connect computer professionals around the world, develop international standards for excellence, provide platforms for advocacy and communication, and improve industry educational services.

The professional instructional courses offered by CompTIA are industry standards. The organization provides certification exams, worldwide forums and summits, global policy initiatives, and memberships to various IT companies. Members of CompTIA have access to a variety of tools, such as industry research, business tools, and networking opportunities.
